Managing alerts
Alerts help you monitor stocks without constantly watching the market. In Moula, alerts notify you when a price reaches a level you care about.
You can use alerts to track potential entry points, monitor downside risk, or simply follow important price levels on your watchlist, such as:
- a stock reaching a target entry price
- a valuation ratio moving above or below a level
- a technical indicator crossing a threshold
Creating an Alert
You can set alerts in multiple ways:
- from any page, using the search bar to search for an asset that is in your favorites
- in the favorites list page, by clicking on the three dots to the left of any favorite to access its action menu
- in the details page of any favorite by clicking on the set alert button
- from the alerts page by clicking on the set alert button
When creating an alert, choose:
- the stock
- the alert type
- the condition
- the threshold or reference value
Once saved, the alert will trigger when the stock price crosses the specified level.
You can create multiple alerts for the same stock if you want to monitor different price thresholds.
Viewing Your Alerts
All alerts can be managed from the Alerts page.
There you can see:
- the stock the alert applies to
- the trigger price
- whether the alert is active
This allows you to keep track of all monitored price levels in one place.
Editing an Alert
If your view changes or the original threshold is no longer useful, edit the alert instead of creating a new one.
You can update the condition, threshold, or reference. The updated alert will be evaluated using the new settings.
To modify an alert, go to the Alerts page, and simply click on the alert you want to edit.
Pause and resume an alert
Pausing an alert keeps it saved in your account but stops it from being evaluated until you turn it back on.
Use this when an alert is temporarily irrelevant but you may want it again later.
Deleting an Alert
If an alert is no longer relevant:
- Open the Alerts page.
- Locate the alert.
- Click the three dots to its left.
- Click Delete.
The alert will be removed from your list and will no longer trigger.
Typical Uses for Alerts
Alerts are commonly used to monitor key price levels.
Examples include:
- a
- buy target
- for a stock you are waiting to enter
- a price breakout level
- a risk threshold if a stock falls below a certain price
Using alerts lets you follow markets without continuously checking charts.
