Connecting your broker
Connecting a broker is optional. Once connected, Moula syncs your trades automatically, so you don't have to log them yourself.
How it works
Broker connections are handled by SnapTrade through a secure, read-only connection. Moula reads your account activity, but it can never place trades or move money.
Connecting a broker
- Open the More menu (⋮) at the bottom of the left menu and click Settings. The Brokers page opens.
- Click Connect brokerage and choose your broker in the SnapTrade window.
- Sign in to your broker there to authorize the read-only connection.
Supported brokers include Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, Schwab, and many more. The full list is shown in the SnapTrade window.
What gets synced
- your trades
- your positions and account balances
- cash movements such as deposits, withdrawals, dividends, and fees
Syncing again never creates duplicate transactions.
When it syncs
Your broker syncs automatically once a day, and also when your broker reports new activity. You can click Sync now in Settings → Brokers at any time. A new connection shows Importing history until your broker has finished sending your past activity.
Favorites limit
Every stock you trade counts toward your favorites limit. If a sync would bring in more stocks than your plan allows, Moula shows an alert with a link to upgrade, and anything already synced stays as it is.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect from Settings → Brokers at any time. Transactions already imported stay in your journal; only the automatic sync stops.
